The “Konya One-Day History and Culture Trip,” organized by the Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University History Society, was completed on Saturday, 29 November 2025. Departing from the AYBU Etlik Campus at 7:30 a.m., students had the opportunity to explore Konya’s deep-rooted history and rich cultural heritage on site.
As part of the program, the Mevlana Museum and Dervish Lodge, Selimiye Mosque, Shams-i Tabrizi Mosque and Tomb, Alaeddin Hill and Alaeddin Mosque, Karatay Madrasa (Museum of Tile Works), İnce Minareli Madrasa (Museum of Stone and Wood Artifacts), Sille Village, and the Aya Elena Church were visited. Students were able to closely observe the cultural, religious, and social fabric of Konya at these historical sites.
Under the guidance of Musa and Çilem, the program was carried out efficiently and smoothly. We extend our gratitude to them on behalf of the Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University History Society.
The AYBU History Society will continue its academic and cultural activities aimed at enhancing students’ historical awareness and field experience.
