The Erasmus+ Program is a grant program by the European Union that offers various opportunities in education, youth, and sports fields between 2021-2027. It includes activities such as studying, teaching, internships, professional development, non-formal learning-based youth activities, and various collaborations between institutions abroad.

This program aims to promote the sustainable development of its higher education partners in line with the objectives of the Europe 2020 Strategy and to contribute to achieving the goals of the EU Youth Strategy.

In this context, the main objectives of the Erasmus+ Program are as follows:

-Reducing unemployment, particularly among young people,

-Supporting adult learning for new and required skills in line with the demands of the labor market,

-Encouraging youth participation in European democracy,

-Supporting innovation, collaboration, and reforms,

-Preventing early school dropout,

-Promoting cooperation and mobility with EU member and partner countries.

In this framework, the Erasmus+ Program offers various opportunities, including Erasmus+ Study Mobility and Erasmus+ Internship Mobility for our students, as well as Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility and Erasmus+ Training Mobility for our academic and administrative staff.

Since 2018, the History Department of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University has provided Erasmus opportunities to its students. Between 2018 and 2025, 7 students from our department have benefited from this opportunity.
