Our department was established in 2011. Postgraduate education activities started in 2011-2012, and the undergraduate program actually started in 2012-2013 academic years. Our department had its first undergraduate graduates in the 2015-2016 academic year. The YKS student quota of our department is 80. The language of instruction in our department is 30% English, and students enrolled must complete 240 ECTS credits, which includes elective courses within and outside the department as well as compulsory courses, in order to graduate.

Our students can do a Double Major in the Information and Document Management, Philosophy and Turkish Language and Literature Departments which are affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Islamic Sciences. They can do a minor program in the Information and Document Management, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology and Turkish Language and Literature Departments which are affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Islamic Sciences. Students of our department will also have the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge and experience of different universities around the world with which we have established protocols through Erasmus and Mevlana programs. Through the Farabi Exchange Program, students have the right to change between domestic higher education institutions for one or two semesters.
