Within the framework of the program jointly organized by the Department of History at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, the AYBÜ History Society, and the Turkish World and History Club of Sinop University, complementary academic and cultural activities were organized following the main events.
In this context, a dinner program was held at Aspava, a venue that holds a distinguished place in Ankara’s historical and cultural memory, with the participation of academics and students from Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and Sinop University. This gathering provided a high-quality environment that strengthened inter-university academic solidarity while also enhancing student–faculty interaction.
Following the dinner, a guided historical tour was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sıddık Çalık, covering the First Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, the Second Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, and Ankara Palas. During the tour, assessments were made regarding the political, spatial, and cultural memory of the early Republican period, and the on-site examination of historical sites helped to concretize the practical reflections of theoretical historical knowledge.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the academic staff of the Department of History at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, the esteemed academics from Sinop University, and all students who participated in and contributed to the realization of these activities.
