Purpose of the Program:
It trains health personnel to operate the devices used in hospitals, laboratories and clinics, and to perform medical analyzes deemed necessary by physicians for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
With the laboratories within the Medical Laboratory Techniques Program, it has the opportunity to teach many applications to its students without even entering the hospital environment. It aims to add Biochemistry, Hematology, Microbiology applications, as well as Molecular Biology and Pathology applications, which are important for medical laboratory technicians, to its curriculum, and to adapt the most up-to-date subjects to its program without wasting time and aims to graduate its students fully equipped.
Training Process:
In order to successfully complete all the courses in the program (equivalent to a total of 120 ECTS), it is necessary to achieve a grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and to successfully complete the compulsory summer internship covering 30 working days.
Employment Opportunities:
The title of "Laboratory Technician" is given. The task of laboratory technicians is to provide great convenience to the physician and the patient in the diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of diseases. Graduates of the program can work in hospitals, medical faculties, private analysis laboratories, research centers of health institutions, laboratories of the Turkish Public Health Institution, laboratories of the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency, and food industry enterprises.
