Purpose of the Program:
Medical imaging technician is to train health technicians who take films of patients as determined by the physician in studies conducted for the diagnosis of the disease in health institutions and organizations. Medical imaging technicians serve in units such as direct films, computed tomography, magnetic resonance, mammography, ultrasonography, which are requested for the diagnosis of the disease, or in the preparation and application of the devices of patients undergoing radiation therapy and in various units of the nuclear medicine department. The students who complete the program are awarded the associate degree diploma and the title of "Radiology Technician".
Training Process:
In order to successfully complete all the courses in the program (equivalent to a total of 120 ECTS), it is necessary to achieve a grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and to successfully complete the compulsory summer internship covering 30 working days.
Employment Opportunities:
Graduates of the Medical Imaging Techniques program can work as a Radiology Technician in the radiology (conventional radiology, computed tomography, magnetic resonance, angiography, mammography, fluoroscopy), nuclear medicine and radiotherapy departments of state, university, private hospitals, private medical centers and private imaging centers.
