The studies carried out in the field of hydrogen technologies and sustainable energy within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University continue to be featured in national media.
At the event held on March 11, 2026, faculty members of our department Dr. M. Cihat Yılmaz and Dr. Necati Uçak shared their experiences regarding the research they conducted in the United States with the participants.
A research project prepared by faculty members of the Department of Mechanical Engineering has been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK – Malaysia High Technology Industry-Government Group (MIGHT) Bilateral Cooperation Program (2568).
Out of the 18 faculty members in our department, 15 applied for the Academic Incentive Program, indicating that academic productivity is widespread across the department with a participation rate of 83.3%.

A comprehensive orientation program was held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, during the first session of the MCE101 “Introduction to Mechanical Engineering” course for new Mechanical Engineering students at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University.

The KGM TOY Team of the AYBU Aviation Club, affiliated with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, has qualified for the final round of the TEKNOFEST Combat UAV Competition.
