The Software Engineering Club (ASEC) of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBÜ) brought Turkey’s leading technology companies together with students through the event titled “What Awaits You in the Defense Industry?”
Three student groups which are under the supervision of our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hilal Arslan of our students are awarded support from the TUSAŞ LIFT UP Program for their undergraduate projects.
Software Engineering Department Orientation Event has been held. In the event, our new students were informed on topics such as national and international internships, school guide and ASEC club.
ASEC Club organized Step into the World of Games: Industry Introduction and Development Day event which had presentations about the gaming industry, a game jam event and a FIFA tournament.

ASEC Club organized a picnic on Sunday, May 4th 2025, at Harikalar Diyarı. Throughout the picnic, various activities were held for our club members.
ASEC Club will hold the STUDENTS SPEAK: Internship Abroad – Dream or Reality? seminar. Students who went to abroad internships will talk about their experiences and information they learnt.
An AI-Supported Preliminary Assessment Model for Use in Patients with Dizziness project involving our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hilal Arslan has been awarded the Digital Transformation and Innovative Perspective in Healthcare Award.
ASEC Club held A Woman's Touch in the Digital Age event with multiple presenters including our Department Chair Hilal Arslan. Various topics about the experiences of women in their entrepreneurship endaevours were discussed.
ASEC Club held IT Security and System Management Event with the participation of Sezai Yılmaz. Discussions about cyber security and network security were made during the event.
ASEC Club hosted the President of the Software Testing and Quality Association, Koray Yitmen. The effects of AI on software testing processes and test automation were discussed in the event.
ASEC Club hosted Daron Yöndem for a seminar on the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Software World. The impact of AI on software developers, its areas of application, and its effects on the future of the industry was discussed deeply.
A technical visit was organized by ASEC club to the Presidency’s Digital Transformation Office. Students learnt valuable information about the projects, digital infrastructure processes, and the general workflow.
