TÜBİTAK Project Grant Has Been Awarded to Faculty Member of the Software Engineering Department

The project titled “Development of New Artificial Intelligence-Based Methods for the Classification and Detection of High-Risk Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Types: PCR Primer and Probe Design”, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hilal Arslan, a faculty member of the Software Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, has been awarded support under the TÜBİTAK 3501 Career Development Program.

The project aims to contribute significantly to public health by developing innovative, AI-supported approaches for the detection and classification of high-risk HPV types. Focusing on PCR primer and probe design, the study combines artificial intelligence and bioinformatics, strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration.

Dr. Tuba Çağlıkantar, also from the Software Engineering Department, and Prof. Dr. Tuba Dal from the Faculty of Medicine, will serve as advisors on the project.

We congratulate our faculty member on this significant achievement and wish success to the project, hoping it will make valuable contributions to the field of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
