Hasan Duymuş, a research assistant in our department, was awarded the Çiğdem Barçan Tansel Best Master’s Thesis Award for the 2023-2024 academic year at the Kalbiye Tansel and Çiğdem Barçan Tansel Thesis Awards ceremony held at Bilkent University on April 2, 2026. At the ceremony, thesis awards for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic years were presented.
Hasan Duymuş was honored with this award for his master’s thesis titled “The Visual Cortices of Congenitally and Non-Congenitally Blind Individuals Become a Part of Cognitive Control Network.” The thesis was supervised by Dr. Ausaf Ahmed Farooqui, Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology, Bilkent University.
