Valuing an interdisciplinary approach, our department actively encourages students to pursue minor programs in various faculties. Advanced graduate education opportunities are also offered through M.S. in Psychology, Ph.D. in Psychology, and M.S. in Clinical Psychology programs.

English preparatory education

The language of instruction is 100% English. Students who do not pass the English proficiency exam complete a one-year preparatory education at the School of Foreign Languages located at Etlik Campus. This education encompasses academic reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

Transportation

Esenboğa Central Campus is conveniently accessible by public transit from central locations in Ankara. Regular public bus routes 474 and 486 provide direct transit to the campus.

Dormitory and accommodation facilities

On-campus Esenboğa KYK dormitories and private dormitories surrounding the campus provide ample housing opportunities. In addition, affordable rental apartments can be found in nearby districts such as Dumlupınar, Esenboğa, Çubuk, and Pursaklar.

Events and student life

Since 2013, our department has been organizing the Psychology Gatherings conference series, bringing esteemed researchers and experts together with our students. Transitioned to a national congress format in 2016, this series was most recently held on June 7–9, 2024, as the 6th National Graduate Psychology Students Congress under the theme "Disrupted Patterns, Evolving Questions, New Approaches", hosted by the Turkish Psychological Association.

The AYBU Psychology Club is actively run by our students, contributing to academic and social development through workshops, guest speaker sessions, and social events.

Accreditation

In 2024, the AYBU Psychology Undergraduate Program (English) was granted 5-year full accreditation by the Turkish Psychological Association (TPD). This accreditation has been awarded to only a select few psychology programs across Turkey, certifying our program's excellence according to national higher education standards.
