Psychology Undergraduate Graduation Project and Internship Guide

Students of the AYBU Department of Psychology are kindly requested to comply with the work plan in the syllabus provided below within the scope of the "Graduation Project" course. Students can access the documents they need within the scope of the internship by clicking here. The Internship Flowchart at the bottom of the page has been prepared to clear up any confusion regarding how to start and continue the internship process, while the Frequently Asked Questions about the Report section aims to address questions that may arise during reporting.

Documents required before starting the graduation project (Sub-field selection form, code of conduct, protocol, compulsory internship and insurance declaration forms) must be submitted to the Department of Psychology Headship on the dates determined by the department internship commission in the first week of May. General Graduation Project Workflow

Participating in the Graduation Project Training Organized by the Department
Sub-Field Selection (Internship, Voluntary Community Service, Article Writing) and Submission of the Code of Conduct to the Department
Determination of the Institution for Internship/Community Service, or Advisor Faculty Member for Article
Students Adding the PSI 401-Graduation Project Course in the Following Semester (Fall Semester of the 4th Year)
Submission of documents (Internship Report, Diary, Performance Evaluation) or the Scientific Article on the date determined for the Graduation Project during Final Exams

Internship and Voluntary Community Service Flowchart

It is highly important for our students who choose Internship or Voluntary Community Service to follow the flowchart given below and pay attention to the relevant dates.

Finding the Internship Place (with at least 1 psychologist employee) by the Student
Obtaining the Internship Petition from the Department Headship to be given to the Institution where the Internship will be done
Submission of 2 copies of the Internship Protocol, 3 copies of the compulsory internship form, and 1 copy of the insurance declaration document for department approval
Internship Dates must be 30 consecutive working days between June 1 - August 31.
Transmission of one copy of the internship protocol and compulsory internship documents approved by the department headship to the institution
Submission of performance forms on the First Internship Day; receiving them in a sealed envelope at the end of the internship.

Important Notes

1- Forms must be filled out in a digital environment and submitted completely.

2- The internship protocol must be signed first by the internship advisor and then by the internship commission.

3- The compulsory internship form will be signed first by the institution where the internship will be held, and then by AYBU.

4- Students who select the article sub-field must apply to the AYBU Ethics Committee.

5- Documents must be submitted to the Graduation Project Commission on the dates to be announced during the final period of the relevant semester.

Internship Report Writing Guide

Abstract

750-1000 word abstract of the internship report (must include subheadings).

Internship Institution

Structure, sector, mission, and organizational chart of the institution (max 3 pages).

Purpose and Scope

Duties and responsibilities undertaken by the student during the internship (2-4 pages).

Theoretical Assessment

Parallelism of observations with theories learned in the undergraduate program and the role of cultural factors (10-15 pages).

Evaluation and References

Personal gains and suggestions. References must be listed in accordance with the APA Publication Manual.
