AYBU Psychology Department

The AYBU Psychology Department offers theoretical and applied education opportunities that reflect interdisciplinary approaches alongside standard psychology undergraduate education according to national and international criteria. In line with these goals, Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University (AYBU) Department of Psychology started undergraduate education in the 2012-2013 academic year. During the same period, the Psychology Master's Program was opened in our department and admitted students. In 2012, the Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University (AYBU) Department of Psychology started education at these levels by opening the English Psychology Master's and in 2014 the English Psychology PhD programs. For the 2015-2016 academic year, the master's program in Applied (Clinical) Psychology started admitting students in our department.

The medium of instruction for our department's Psychology Undergraduate Program, Psychology Master's Program, and Psychology PhD Program is English; the medium of instruction for the Applied (Clinical) Psychology Master's Program is Turkish. Our department has been continuing undergraduate education and training at our Esenboga Central Campus since the 2015-2016 academic year. Our students whose English level is not sufficient receive preparatory training at the Etlik Campus, where the School of Foreign Languages is located, before starting the program. Our graduate-level courses are held at the Esenboga Central Campus and the Cinnah campus.

Our department has 12 faculty members, 2 lecturers, and 13 research assistants working full-time, specialized in various subfields of psychology (Clinical Psychology, Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Applied Psychology, Traffic Psychology, Industrial and Organizational Psychology).

Faculty members and students who wish to conduct scientific studies in the field of psychology can take part in our department's research laboratories.
