Our New Post-Hoc Researcher: Dr. Enass Almusawa

Below you will find the brief biography and educational background of our new Post-Hoc researcher, Dr. Enass Almusawa, in his own words. We congratulate him and wish him continued success.

- Department of Psychology

I am Dr. Enass Almusawa, a faculty member at Ibb University in Yemen. I hold a PhD from Çukurova University in Adana in positive psychology (psychotherapy). I also earned a master’s degree in mental health from Ibb University, Yemen, and a bachelor’s degree in psychological sciences, specializing in psychological and educational counseling, from the same university.

My academic and research interests focus on positive psychology and the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder resulting from wars, natural disasters such as earthquakes, and epidemics, including the COVID-19 pandemic. I am also interested in several core topics within positive psychology, such as psychological resilience, quality of life, self-compassion, and psychological well-being...act.

Currently, I am conducting postdoctoral research on psychological resilience and post-traumatic growth at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, in collaboration with Professor Hüdayer (Head of the Department of Psychology).

I have extensive experience in psychotherapy by using concepts from positive psychology as well as modern and postmodern therapeutic approaches. In addition to my teaching experience at Ibb University in Yemen, I have also taught one course at Ankara Social Sciences University in Turkey. Moreover, I have delivered numerous training courses and therapeutic, developmental, and preventive programs both in Turkey and Yemen, as well as online for participants from countries such as Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and others.
