Dear Mechanical Engineering Department Students,
In order to ensure that our department's students are represented in academic and social processes in the best possible way and to strengthen student-department communication, elections will be held for 1 Principal Student Representative and 1 Student Representative Substitute.
The candidacy requirements, application criteria, and process schedule for the election, which is open to voting by all students of our department, are presented below:
Candidacy Requirements and Application Criteria
• Class Level: Excluding the preparatory class, students from all classes in our department can run as candidates and vote.
• Academic Standing: Candidates must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.00.
• Application Documents: Candidates must prepare an up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV) with a photograph. The CV must include a section outlining the candidate's views, suggestions, and statement of intent regarding the student representation.
Application and Evaluation Schedule
• Application Deadline: September 20, 2026, 23:59
• Application Address: The prepared CV documents containing the photograph and statement of intent must be sent by e-mail to enesfurkanarslan@aybu.edu.tr no later than the specified date and time.
Candidates who submit their applications will be announced following a preliminary evaluation process, and the representatives will be determined through a vote conducted with the participation of all department students. Details regarding the election date and voting procedure will be shared following the application period.
