Invitation ‘Balkan Wars According To Bulgar Archives’ (29-30 May 2017)

On the occasion of the 104th Anniversary of the Balkan Wars, one of the important events of our recent history, the exhibition ‘Balkan Wars According to Bulgarian Archives’ was organised by Prof. Dr. Kenan OLGUN and Assistant Professor Dr. M. Akif FİDAN, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of History.

The exhibition, which will be opened on 29 May 2017 at 10:00 at Esenboğa Campus A Block 3rd Floor and will be open for two days, aims to understand the importance of the Balkan Wars, one of the important events in our recent history, and to transfer it to future generations. The details of the war are visually presented through the eyes of the Bulgarians, an important actor of the Balkan Wars.

Apart from the historical photographs, most of which are taken from the Bulgarian State Archives, including the original images of the Treaty of Bucharest, one of the agreements that ended the war, there are also a sketch of the Balkan Wars, war maps and a brief narrative of the Balkan Wars and the parties.

All students and academic and administrative staff of our University are invited to the exhibition.
