The article “Pragmatic issue-based narratives: discursive support for the populist far right among third-generation Turkish immigrants in the Netherlands,” co-authored by our department’s M. Mustafa İyi and Bahar Cebe, has been published in Acta Politica.
The study explores supportive narratives concerning economic issues, LGBTI+ issues and newly arrived migrants. Its findings show that support can be selective and conditional, coexist with ethnic and religious identities, and remain distinct from voting behaviour.
