Our postgraduate education program, which consists of Master's and PhD stages, aims to provide students with the basic equipment required by the discipline of history as well as the general scientific and academic discipline, to gain the necessary skills for the selection and limitation of scientific research topics and to present the subject determined as a result of these in accordance with scientific criteria, to follow international studies by showing the historical and contemporary links of the academic studies to be carried out. Students who meet the requirements of the relevant sections of the graduate education regulations of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and who have at least a bachelor's degree can enroll in the Master's program. The normal duration of the program is 4 semesters and the maximum period of study is 6 semesters. In order for students to successfully complete the Master's program, they must successfully complete eight elective courses, one SBE 500 Seminar course and SBE 1000 Scientific Research Methods and Science Ethics courses within a maximum of 4 semesters. After completing the aforementioned course load, the student is obliged to prepare and successfully defend a Master's Thesis within the framework of the Special Specialization Topics course. Students who have graduated from 4-year departments of Sociology, Philosophy, Psychology, History, Anthropology, Public Administration and Political Science, International Economics, Faculty of Communication Sciences and Faculty of Theology or equivalent faculties can apply to the Master's Program with Thesis in the Department of Sociology.

- Students who apply from outside the Department of Sociology and are successful in the exam will take one year of Scientific Preparation courses.

- Applicants must have a minimum ALES score of 60 from the Equal-Weight type and a minimum Language Score of 55 from YDS or equivalent exams in all foreign languages conducted by ÖSYM as a foreign language.

- Applicants must have 2.5 GPA according to the 4 point system in the undergraduate program they graduated from.

- Students who wish to transfer are obliged to comply with the conditions determined by our Graduate School and apply on the relevant dates.

- The application process is carried out through the Institute of Social Sciences, the Department of Sociology does not have the right to receive documents on behalf of the Department.
