Doctorate (PhD)

The Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBU) Department of Psychology General Psychology English Doctoral Program has been conducting educational activities since 2014. Within our program, students are primarily given the opportunity to specialize in the fields of Social Psychology, Applied Psychology, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Experimental/Cognitive Psychology, and Developmental Psychology. Our program aims to make a qualified contribution to the accumulation of psychology both in our country and in the world by educating successful researchers from theoretical and methodological perspectives.

Furthermore, our doctoral program is enriched with courses oriented towards the applied subfields of psychology, offering an opportunity for students who want to work as practitioners in the field to gain the necessary equipment. For students to graduate from the program, they must take eight courses, complete seminar studies, and write a thesis under the supervision of their advisors if they pass the doctoral proficiency exam. You can access the directive regarding the doctoral proficiency exam here (will be updated).
