As part of the 'MSE101 Introduction to Materials Engineering' course, our department's first-year students visited Alp Global to observe composite materials—one of the key technologies of today and the future—in an industrial setting.
During the visit, which focused on the production processes of composite materials critical for sectors requiring lightweight properties and high durability, our students had the opportunity to observe various stages ranging from raw material selection to molding techniques, and from curing processes to final product quality control. Witnessing advanced material technologies and their industrial-scale processing at the very beginning of their engineering education has significantly contributed to our students' professional vision.
We would like to express our gratitude to the Alp Global family for opening their doors to our students, sharing the intricacies of the world of composites, and for their kind hospitality.
