Doctoral Qualifying Exam

The written stage of the doctoral qualifying exam in our department is conducted according to the following procedures and principles:

  • 📌 60% of the questions and the total score in the written exam consist of questions related to Fundamental Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. This section is common for all candidates taking the exam in the same semester.
  • 📌 The remaining 40% of the questions and the total score in the written exam are based on the student's doctoral research area (thesis topic).
🗓️
Note: These procedures and principles are effective as of the Spring Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year.
