ENGR450 Workplace Training (Co-op)

The ENGR450 Workplace Training course, offered within the Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, is a comprehensive program designed to allow students to gain experience by applying their engineering knowledge in real business environments. Unlike a summer internship or a graduation project, this course requires the student to actively work in the company for at least one day (preferably two days) per week during an academic semester and to fulfill specific academic obligations.

Participation Requirements

  • GPA: Must be at least 2.75 at the time of application.
  • Internship Status: Two mandatory summer internships must be completed.
  • Class Level: Only 4th-year students can apply.
  • Company Suitability: There must be at least one engineer from the student's field at the company.
Important Warnings:

• If there is no protocol between the university and the company, a letter of acceptance must be obtained from the company and submitted to the department chair.
• The workplace training schedule must not conflict with the university course schedule. The student is fully responsible for any conflicts.
