The AYBÜ Mechanical Engineering Club (AYBÜMAK), operating within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBÜ), started the 2026–2027 academic year with activities designed to support students’ professional development, entrepreneurial skills, and participation in innovative engineering projects.
As part of the KOSGEB Support Programs Panel held on 8 October 2026, Dr. Aziz Acar, Director of the Sincan KOSGEB Office, and Dr. Hüseyin Şen, SME Expert at Sincan KOSGEB, met with students.
Moderated by Prof. Dr. Veli Çelik, a faculty member of the AYBÜ Department of Mechanical Engineering, the panel addressed the entrepreneurship ecosystem, KOSGEB support programs, the development of innovative business ideas, and the support mechanisms available to engineering students seeking to turn their ideas into economic value.
The event aimed to raise students’ awareness of entrepreneurial opportunities, enhance their professional competencies, and expand their knowledge of the resources available to bring innovative engineering ideas to life.
AYBÜMAK also engaged with students through booth activities held on 8–9 October 2026 at the university’s 15 Temmuz Şehitleri and Milli İrade Campuses.
Throughout the booth events, students were informed about the club’s activities, ongoing projects, and goals for the new academic year. They had the opportunity to learn more about the club’s areas of focus and explore opportunities to take an active role in various engineering projects.
These activities aimed to encourage students’ active participation in university life, strengthen interdisciplinary interaction, and promote a project-based learning culture.
Through its activities, AYBÜMAK contributes to introducing students to the entrepreneurship ecosystem, developing their innovative thinking skills, and helping them gain a closer understanding of professional opportunities in engineering.
These initiatives are also aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Quality Education (SDG 4) and Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8).
With its motto, “Kampüste #FarkYaratMAK” AYBÜMAK will continue to organize technical projects, industry-oriented events, and student-centered activities throughout the new academic year.
