Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University's 2025 Promotion Days began on July 30. On the first day of the event, our Department of Mechanical Engineering, under the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, attracted significant attention from prospective students considering our university.
During the introduction events, meetings were held with the participation of the department head and vice chairs, where prospective students were provided with comprehensive information about the scope of mechanical engineering education, laboratory and practical training opportunities, academic structure, ongoing research projects, and post-graduation career prospects.
The wide range of career opportunities offered by our department in fields such as energy, automotive, defense industry, aerospace, biomedical, robotics, and manufacturing technologies was met with great interest by prospective students. Internship opportunities and industry collaborations provided to students were also shared in detail.
Prospective students expressed their appreciation for the close attention shown by the academic staff and the department’s strong infrastructure. They highlighted that the vision, interdisciplinary approach, and sectoral connections of the Mechanical Engineering Department were key factors that motivated them in their decision-making process.
