Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çelik, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Director of the Hydrogen Technologies and Energy Application and Research Center, attended the panel titled “Climate and Economy: Sustainable Mobility with Hydrogen and Fuel Cells: Opportunities and Challenges for Turkey.”
This important event, attended by Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çelik as the representative of the center, was held at Gebze Bilişim Vadisi with the participation of the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır. During the panel, the role of hydrogen within the framework of Turkey’s sustainable mobility vision was emphasized, and information was shared on current developments in this field as well as future opportunities and challenges.
The panel was moderated by Fatih Doğan, while Esen Çoban and Kadem Usta, experts in their respective fields, participated as panelists. The technical, economic, and environmental aspects of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies were discussed from a multidimensional perspective. Such initiatives aimed at achieving sustainability, green energy, and zero-carbon targets represent important steps in Turkey’s transition toward a hydrogen economy.
