
As Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University History Society, we are organizing a comprehensive Cultural and Historical Trip to Konya with the guidance of our academic instructors, aimed at exploring the ancient heritage of the Seljuk capital on site.
This program offers a unique opportunity for all students who wish to gain firsthand knowledge by visiting historical sites and to understand the urban fabric of Seljuk civilization in its original context.
🕌 Main sites to be visited during the trip:
Mevlânâ Museum and Dervish Lodge, Selimiye Mosque, Tomb of Shams-i Tabrizi, Alaeddin Hill and Alaeddin Mosque, Karatay Madrasa, İnce Minareli Madrasa, Atatürk House Museum, Sille Village, and Aya Elena Church—these are among Konya’s key historical landmarks that form the city’s cultural memory.
The site visits will be supported by explanations from our expert academic instructors, offering participants the chance to listen to and observe numerous historical elements from the Seljuk, Ottoman, and Republican periods in situ.
