A chapter authored by our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yahya Aydın has been published in Liquid Port Cities of the Twenty-First Century: A Pan-Mediterranean Perspective on Cultural Confluences and Contemporary Challenges, released under the Routledge Studies in Urbanism and the City series. The volume was edited by Wendy Jo Mifsud and Enrico Tommarchi.

The chapter, titled "Antalya as a Preferred Destination for Residential Settlement and Visiting," examines Antalya's position within the Mediterranean basin and the growing demand for residential settlement the city has attracted in recent years. The study investigates the motivations behind foreign buyers' interest in the city, patterns of lifestyle migration, the dynamics of second home ownership, and how these processes relate to Antalya's identity as a port city. The city's distinctive standing compared to other Turkish port cities is discussed through official data.

The volume brings together contributions from researchers across Mediterranean countries, offering a comparative perspective on the shared challenges and cultural confluences shaping port cities in the twenty-first century.
