Due to its geological structure and geographical location, our country is situated in an active earthquake zone and has experienced numerous devastating disasters throughout history. Minimizing the direct and indirect impacts of disasters is possible only when individuals are well-prepared beforehand and are able to apply appropriate response methods during such events.

In this context, a “Disaster Awareness Training, Earthquake Drill, and Evacuation Exercise” will be organized to help our university’s academic and administrative staff, as well as students, recognize potential hazards in their environment, learn about preparedness processes, and experience the basic response steps to be followed during and after disasters.

The training will be conducted by expert personnel from the Ankara Governorship Provincial Directorate of Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD) and will take place as follows:

  • October 9, 2025 – 10:30 a.m. at Etlik Milli İrade Campus (for students)

  • October 15, 2025 – 10:30 a.m. at Esenboğa Main Campus (for students)

At the end of the training, participants will receive a digital certificate of participation.
To issue these certificates, AFAD requires the collection of certain personal information. Therefore, it is important that participants fill out the survey form provided at the link below.
