On September 24, 2025, an orientation meeting was held for the 1st-year students of the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department. Within the scope of the program, students were given information about the department, its academic structure, and the opportunities offered. The academic staff serving in the department were introduced to the students. All the necessary information for starting the program was conveyed to the students, including details about double major and minor programs, graduation requirements, the curriculum over the 4 years, and the candidate engineering program.
During the event, one of our students who participated in the Erasmus program shared their international experiences, inspiring fellow students who are considering applying in the future. Additionally, our department's student club, AYBU MATEC, introduced its activities and invited new students to join their events.
The orientation program aimed to help students adapt more easily to university life and to become more familiar with the academic and social opportunities within the department.
