- Directing and managing department personnel
- Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and established standards
- Preventing activities contrary to legislation
- Signing reports and forms related to the department
- Approving the personnel’s annual leave schedule and signing annual leave and sick leave documents
- Approving material request forms
- Referring the department’s correspondence to the relevant unit and signing outgoing correspondence
- Delegating some of their duties and authorities to branch managers and subordinate unit managers, provided that the limits are clearly defined, made in writing, not contrary to the law, and approved by the senior manager; and announcing the delegation of authority to relevant parties through appropriate means
- Representing the unit domestically and internationally when necessary and presenting opinions and recommendations
- Selecting a deputy to represent them when temporarily absent from duty or unable to attend meetings and negotiations, and obtaining approval from the superior when required by legislation
- Reviewing the budgets, plans, activities, and programs prepared by subordinate branch managers, ensuring necessary revisions are made, and submitting them to the relevant authority
- Ensuring the implementation and monitoring of the activity program; taking necessary measures so that the work carried out by branches in line with the activity program proceeds completely and without interruption; and ensuring the necessary coordination, cooperation, and harmonious working environment
- Initialing or signing documents issued by branches in accordance with the principles of the signature authority directive
- Reviewing the working methods prepared by branches, making necessary changes, and ensuring their implementation
- Distributing written or verbal tasks submitted to them to the relevant branches and ensuring their completion
- Reviewing personnel matters such as appointment, promotion, transfer, rewarding, disciplinary action, leave, and dismissal, and submitting opinions and recommendations to the competent authority
- Taking necessary measures to train branch personnel for higher positions and ensuring the implementation of in-service training programs
- Ensuring coordination among branches and units
- Informing senior management when necessary regarding the execution and completion of duties
