MASTER PROGRAM IN ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT NON-THESIS
Purpose of the Program
It aims to provide the knowledge and skills that engineers trained in different disciplines and currently working or newly graduated will need to take leadership roles in product and process design, development and management in the future in industrial organizations based on advanced technologies. As a result of R&D centers and TÜBİTAK incentives, the need for graduate-level R&D personnel is increasing day by day. In this direction, it is aimed to provide students with the ability to follow technology closely, to use the information they have acquired to contribute to technology, to think innovatively and to have teamwork skills. The changing professional development requirements of undergraduate engineers working in the industry and especially the production-oriented engineering activities will enable the formation deficiencies that arise after the inclusion of design-oriented product development activities.
Program Implementation
Engineering and Technology Management Second Education (Non-Thesis) Master's Program is carried out in accordance with the Graduate Education and Training Regulations of the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences and on weekdays evenings.
It consists of at least 7 courses and 1 term project course, not less than 30 ECTS in total, in accordance with the section of the Postgraduate Education and Training Regulation of the Higher Education Council related to the Master Program without Thesis. Students will complete the program in 3 consecutive semesters. Each semester is 12 weeks, and the last week of each semester is reserved for final exams. Students will be responsible for 7 courses in the first two semesters and the final term project. Each student will make an Engineering and Technology Management Project in accordance with the defined purpose and scope of the program and on a subject approved by their assigned advisor. The Engineering and Technology Management Project will be evaluated as "Successful" or "Unsuccessful" by the advisor faculty member / lecturer who manages the study and two other faculty members / assistants to be selected by the Program Executive Board. In case of failure, this course must be retaken until it is successful.
