As the Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University History Society, we are pleased to invite all our students and interested participants to the conference titled “War Correspondence and Syria.”

Samet Doğan, who has extensive field experience in war correspondence, will share his observations from the conflict environment in Syria, his field experiences based on human stories, and his insights into the humanitarian, social, and cultural dimensions of war. The program will also address the ethical responsibilities of journalism in conflict zones, the challenges of maintaining objectivity, and the difficulties encountered in the field.

We believe that this conference, offering a professional perspective on one of the most critical crises of contemporary history, will provide participants with a valuable opportunity for learning and reflection.

The “War Correspondence and Syria” conference will be held on Wednesday, 3 December, between 13:00 and 15:00, at the A Block Conference Hall of the Esenboğa Campus. All students, academic staff, and interested stakeholders are invited to attend.
