After the internet became a part of people's daily lives, violations of personal rights on the internet environment started to be seen frequently. Considering the general structure of the Internet; features such as the existence of users and service providers in different countries, the possibility of accessing data from anywhere in the world and at any time, and storing data in different formats on servers located in different parts of the world, reveal that violations of personality rights are not only a problem of domestic law.
In the study, which is the subject of the seminar, the decisions of the European Union Court of Justice will be examined at the point of determination of the international competent court in the violation of personal rights in the internet environment, which includes many cross-border elements, and the new approach adopted in the international community will be explained.
