236. Wednesday Seminar: Standard-Based Patents

Within the scope of the presentation, firstly, the concept of "Standard-Based Patent (SEP)" will be discussed, and the FRAND conditions that are expected to be fulfilled in the licensing process of SEPs will be explained. Then, the relationship between SEPs and standardization bodies will be discussed. Finally, essential decisions taken by the European Commission, the European Court of Justice and the Turkish Competition Board will be examined.
