No summer school will be offered at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University within the scope of the 2025–2026 Academic Year Summer Term.

A summary information guide including the process and application steps regarding summer school has been prepared for AYBÜ Software Engineering students.

All AYBÜ Software Engineering students who wish to take courses during summer school are required, as the first step, to send an email to Res. Asst. Pelin Nur ÇÖL. The email must clearly state the name of the course to be taken and the university where the course will be offered. (pelinnurcol@aybu.edu.tr)

Following the approval email sent by Res. Asst. Pelin Nur ÇÖL, students must obtain the approval/signature of the responsible AYBÜ course instructor for the relevant course, and subsequently complete the approval/signature process of the Department Chair.

The course registration form, with all required approvals and signatures completed, must be submitted to Hasancan SUER, the Department Secretary of AYBÜ Software Engineering, whose office is located on the 4th Floor, Block B.

The Department Secretary will submit the relevant course registration form for the approval of the Dean’s Office.

The poster states that AYBU will not offer a Summer School during the 2025–2026 Academic Year; however, students who meet the requirements may take Summer School courses at universities approved by AYBU. 1. Who Can Take Summer School Courses?: Students who need to repeat a course. Students who are missing courses required for graduation (up to three courses, except in early graduation cases). Students wishing to take courses from higher semesters for early graduation (minimum CGPA 3.00 / BB equivalent). 2. Course Limitations: A maximum of three courses may be taken during Summer School. The weekly course hours and/or ECTS credits must be equivalent to or greater than those of the AYBU course. At least 80% course-content equivalency is required. The course title and compulsory/elective status do not have to be identical. 3. University Selection: The language of instruction must be the same as that of the AYBU program. The admission score of the program offering the course must be at least 90% of the AYBU program’s admission score from the year the student was admitted. Courses may be taken from any state university that satisfies these conditions. Courses may also be taken from scholarship-based programs at foundation (private) universities if the admission score requirement is met. 4. Important Notes: Courses taken without approval from the Department Chair and Faculty Administrative Board will not be accepted. Students whose enrollment has been terminated at the end of the Fall or Spring semester cannot benefit from Summer School. A minimum grade of CC (2.00) is required for a Summer School course to be transferred and counted. 5. Application Steps: Obtain approval from the Summer School Commission Research Assistant for the course and university you plan to attend and submit the required documents by email. After receiving preliminary approval, obtain approval from one of the AYBU instructors teaching the equivalent course. Obtain the required signature from the Department Chair or one of the Vice Chairs. Complete course registration after the Faculty Administrative Board approval is finalized.
