On January 23, 2026, between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM, our Department Quality and Accreditation Committee and class representatives gathered on the Google Meet platform to evaluate the Program Learning Objectives, Program Outcomes, and general teaching activities.

The Turkish Language and Literature Department Quality and Accreditation Commission evaluated recent feedback from students as part of efforts to strengthen the program. Representatives requested new course content that would enhance post-graduation employment opportunities and support academic knowledge with contemporary skills.

At the meeting, the Program Teaching Objectives (PTO) and Program Outcomes (PO) updated in line with the Higher Education Qualifications Framework (HEQF) were presented to the students for their views and suggestions.

Student representatives stated that they aimed to pursue careers in a wide range of fields, including the culture and arts sector, media, publishing, digital archiving, and librarianship, in addition to the traditional teaching role. Emphasizing technological competence, students stated that office programs and a digital humanities perspective should also be included in the curriculum. An interdisciplinary perspective and strong foreign language skills—English and Persian—were also among the prominent demands.

The commission noted that these demands are vital in terms of increasing the academic depth of the program and the international competitiveness of graduates, and that students' language proficiency should be improved.
