Program Description and Application Requirements
Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBÜ) Department of Turkish Language and Literature PhD Program has been conducting its educational activities since 2014. Within the scope of our program, students are given the opportunity to specialize both theoretically and practically in many fields, mainly Ottoman Literature, Contemporary Turkish Literature, Turkish Folklore, Old and New Turkish Language.
In order to graduate from the program, students are required to take eight courses, complete a seminar and then write a thesis under the supervision of their advisors. You can find the list of compulsory and elective courses that our department offers to its students here.
As of 2024-2025 academic year, the minimum foreign language score required for our PhD program is 55.
