Program Learning Outcomes of the Department of Sociology
The program learning outcomes of the Department of Sociology define the knowledge, skills, experiences, and attitudes that students are expected to acquire by the time they graduate:
PLO1
Possesses the knowledge and ability to effectively utilize information resources, application tools, and equipment that contain the most effective methods and up-to-date knowledge related to sociology and its auxiliary disciplines.
PLO2
Examines and evaluates the concepts, theories, ideas, and data related to the discipline of sociology through social science research methods; identifies, analyzes, and discusses issues by establishing connections between past and present contexts and provides projections for the future.
PLO3
Is able to actively express the knowledge and expertise acquired in sociology and related fields through written and oral communication, and prepares research and reports for individuals and institutions that require expertise in these areas.
PLO4
Possesses the ability to engage in critical thinking, creative thinking, interpretation, synthesis, and evaluation by using sociological methods.
PLO5
Approaches contemporary sociological conceptualizations, movements, and debates from a critical perspective.
PLO6
Is aware of the trends and needs within the field and recognizes the socio-cultural and economic characteristics of the surrounding environment; plans, implements, and manages education and learning processes appropriate to these characteristics.

Assumes responsibility in studies related to the field and produces solutions through independent work or teamwork.

Can follow current research in sociology written in English at a basic level and communicate with colleagues.
