240th Wednesday Seminar: A presentation titled “Contemporary Credit Problems and Its Evaluation in Terms of Islamic Law” was made.

Within the scope of the 240th Wednesday Seminar of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Law, Assoc Prof Dr Aytaç Aydın made a presentation on “Contemporary Credit Problems and Its Evaluation in Terms of Islamic Law”.

 

In his presentation, Assoc Prof Dr Aytaç Aydın touched upon the definition of the concept of credit, the methods of finding credit today, the conditions sought for contracts in Islamic law and the principles of crediting. Then he talked about the types of credit and the legal requirements sought in the credit contract within the scope of Islamic contract theory. In this context, the speaker, explaining the elements and conditions of the relevant contract, underlined that the interest application is contrary to the principle of not being a harsh condition, which is one of the validity conditions of the contract. Then, the general principles related to commercial transactions in Islamic law are mentioned, and the ways of obtaining credit from the retail entrepreneur are explained.
