The First Worksop on the Project titled ‘Golden Age Platform: Inclusion of Senior Citizens to Virtualised Environments with Lifelong Learning Facilities’, which is funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Adult Education Strategic Partnerships Activity Program and coordinated by Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, was held in Ankara between 07-09 December 2021, hosted by Altındağ Municipality.
Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Arcaklıoğlu and Altındağ Deputy Mayor Abdurrahman Karabudak presented their opening speeches. The modules prepared by the partners for the training of trainers were presented and the project outputs were evaluated during the workshop.
The GAP-IOS project, which is led by Prof. Dr. Seldağ Güneş Peschke from AYBU Law Faculty, is partnered by Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Altındağ Municipality, Ankara University, Turkish Pensioners Association and partners from Germany, Spain and Portugal. The project aims to ensure that individuals aged 65+ are productive in the society, deal with social issues, and reach an active life level with the participation of academics and experts from different disciplines.
