At the AYBU Faculty of Law 204th Wednesday Seminar, Harun KARAKAYA, a Research Assistant in History of Law, delivered a presentation entitled “The land question in Palestine: It’s Ottoman Roots”.
The seminar started with opening speech of our Rector, Prof. Dr. İbrahim AYDINLI. After our Rector’s speech, Harun KARAKAYA talked about the concept of land and the administrative structure of Palestine. Subsequently, the Ottoman land order and the property rights of foreigners in the Ottoman Empire were discussed. Harun KARAKAYA also examined the Jewish immigration and finally gave information about the post-Ottoman period.
Harun KARAKAYA’s enlightening presentation was followed up by questions and answers session (12.05.2021).
