Systems based on artificial intelligence (AI) are utilized efficiently in various areas, such as finance, energy, mining, defence industry, health and retail. AI eases the human life on the one hand, but accompanies various issues in law on the other hand. To deal with these issues, it is essential that both regulatory and supervisory authorities and law-makers analyse developments and changes in the sector carefully not to violate universal human rights. Various companies that produce artificial intelligence systems make profit through projects on the machine learning by using various priorities as excuses and ignoring existing legislations. Administrative authorities are uncertain about how to regulate these legal issues on systems based on AI and it is concerning that legislative reforms may bar innovative scientific developments. Then, AI will be handled through the lenses of engineering and law, agreeing on a common language to solve issues, and there will be an emphasis on the significance of interdisciplinary study in the Wednesday Seminar this week.
