In collaboration with our center and the Department of History, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, a "Migration and Uprising in Turkish History" symposium was held for undergraduate students.
The event, which took place on May 14-15, 2018, was attended by our University's Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Doğan, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Kazım Arıcan, faculty members, numerous students, and invited guests.
The opening speech of the program was delivered by Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Doğan, and the opening lecture titled “Migration and Uprising in the Balkans” was given by Prof. Dr. Ömer Turan, a faculty member from the Department of History at METU. During the symposium, 12 sessions were held where students presented on various topics.
In the closing session, which had a high level of participation, Prof. Dr. Musa Şamil Yüksel, Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Hasan Işık, and Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Ali Zafer Sağıroğlu provided their evaluations.
