Prof. Dr. Cem Korkut, Chair of the Department of Finance and Banking at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Faculty of Business, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali İhsan Çetin, Vice Chair of the Department, paid a visit to Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Demir, Vice President of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
During the meeting, views were exchanged on academic studies in the field of finance and banking, the role of official statistics in scientific research, data-driven analytical processes, and opportunities for inter-institutional cooperation.
The visit was considered valuable in terms of highlighting the Department’s emphasis on the use of reliable data sources in academic research and its commitment to strengthening cooperation with public institutions.
