Welcome to the Department of Finance and Banking at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. Our department has been structured to offer an English-medium education grounded in academic excellence, practice-oriented learning, and strong industry collaboration—particularly in a period when financial systems are rapidly transforming, digitalization is shaping global markets, and international competition is increasingly intensified.
Today, specialization in finance and banking has become more essential than ever, especially in areas such as risk management, sustainable finance, and financial technologies (fintech). This reality brings with it the responsibility to continuously update our curriculum and to equip our students not only with theoretical knowledge, but also with analytical thinking, data literacy, and practical skill sets.
In this context, we provide our students with real-world experience through internships, sector-based projects, and international exchange programs. Together with our academic staff, we maintain strong ties with the business sector, regulatory authorities, and financial institutions to cultivate future managers and finance professionals.
Our English-medium program is designed with a globally relevant vision that prepares students to take on active roles not only in financial institutions in Türkiye, but also in international financial markets.
Moreover, for us, sustainability, ethics, and social responsibility are not merely concepts—they represent a mission that translates into action across education, research, and community engagement. Our academic staff lead original research projects both nationally and internationally, and our students take part in these projects as active contributors, gaining valuable knowledge and experience.
