📘 About the Program

The PhD Program in Finance and Banking aims to train experts who possess strong academic research capabilities, can critically analyze global financial systems, and uphold ethical and innovative approaches. The program provides advanced theoretical and applied knowledge in banking, financial markets, risk management, financial econometrics, and sustainable finance.

🏛️ Admission Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

• Hold a Master’s degree (International applicants must provide YÖK equivalency where applicable),
• Have a minimum graduate GPA of 2.75/4.00,
• Obtain at least 75 from the ALES (Equal Weight or Quantitative) or present an equivalent GRE/GMAT score,
• Score at least 70 on YDS or YÖKDİL, or provide an equivalent score from another internationally recognized English proficiency exam,
• Successfully pass the interview stage.

🎯 Program Structure and Requirements

• The language of instruction is English.
• Students admitted with a Master’s degree must complete 8 courses, one seminar, the qualifying exam, the thesis proposal, and the doctoral dissertation, totaling 180 ECTS.
• Students admitted with a Bachelor’s degree must take six additional courses, bringing the total to 240 ECTS.
