The International Justice Summit Istanbul 2026, organized by the Ministry of Justice, brought together leading representatives of the global legal and justice community in Istanbul. Beginning with opening speeches by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and our Minister of Justice, Mr. Akın Gürlek, the Summit addressed current legal issues with the aims of developing a shared vision for the future of justice, strengthening the rule of law, and advancing international cooperation.
On the second day of the Summit, our Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr. Neslihan Karataş Durmuş, participated in the panel titled "Social Media and Responsibility," presenting on "(Social Media) Platform Liability and International Standards in Content Moderation." The presentation discussed legal approaches and regulations in the European Union, the United Nations, and the United States, also including examples from Turkish practices.
