İYA 501 - İnsani Yardım Çalışmalarında Araştırma Teknikleri - 15 ECTS

In the course of research techniques in humanitarian studies, students will be asked to use classical and current discussions, reviews, theories, researches and applications in the field of their research or interventions in the field, and evaluate the studies in the context of methodological and relevant statistical analyses.

İYA 503 - Teoriden Pratiğe İnsani Yardım - 15 ECTS

The aim of the course is to provide students with the basic concepts, institutions and debates in the field of humanitarian aid. By presenting the interdisciplinary aspect of the field of humanitarian aid, it is aimed to convey the basic knowledge in the field to students who want to make an academic and professional career in the field of humanitarian aid.

İYA 505 - İnsani Yardım ve Küresel Ekonomi - 15 ECTS

The aim of the course is to identify the chronic problems of humanitarian aid in the world and in Turkey's economy and examine them in depth. Topics constitute of this course deal with humanitarian perspective are Turkey's economy, economic policy decisions and practical results, sectoral development and construction, Turkey and the evaluation of the economic policies implemented in the context of the world economy, the world economy determining the location of Turkey, developments in foreign trade and capital flows, financial liberalisation process, the current economic issues in the world and in Turkey with the results of financial liberalisation.

İYA 507 - İnsani Yardım ve Sosyal Hizmet - 10 ECTS

The aim of this course is to understand how to benefit from the knowledge, skills and values ​​of social service in situations of humanitarian crisis with reference to concepts such as risk, reviewability, resistance and empowerment. With the achievements of this course, students are expected to engage in social service intervention at the level of working with individuals, working with groups and working with the community in disaster and crisis situations.

İYA 509 - İnsani Yardım ve İnsan Hakları - 10 ECTS

This course aims to analyse and examine the concepts of human rights and humanitarian aid. In this context, this course also covers the concept of human rights, its importance and philosophical foundations, Turkish Constitution and human rights stipulated in international agreements to which Turkey is a party, the importance of humanitarian and philosophical foundations of the concept, aims to provide information about the relationship between humanitarian assistance and human rights.

In this course, it is aimed to determine the priorities in sustainable humanitarian aid by explaining the strategy and risk facts. Concepts such as social impact, communication management, and public volunteer cooperation are examined in the context of humanitarian aid. They also discussed humanitarian aid models in Turkey.

The aim of the course is to reveal the relationship between field practices and technology in humanitarian aid studies. The process of determining and managing technological opportunities in the effective planning, implementation, supervision and improvement of activities in the field of humanitarian aid constitutes the scope of the course.

İYA 502 - Türkiye'nin Kamu Diplomasisi ve İnsani Yardım - 10 ECTS

The meaning and terminological framework of the concept of humanitarian aid will be presented in the course, and the historical background of humanitarian aid will be specified. In this context, the theoretical framework of the concept of humanitarian aid in the field of international relations will be discussed in general terms. The scope of the course includes the actors, factors, related institutions and current problems in humanitarian aid activities.

İYA 504 - Halk Sağlığı ve İnsani Yardım - 7 ECTS

Aiming to inform students about the framework and importance of the concept of public health and humanitarian aid, public health, and humanitarian aid this programme aims to provide students with an understanding of health protection with a public health perspective on issues such as humanitarian disasters, types of disasters, and protection from disasters. The concept of migration and its effects on public health, the management of humanitarian crises and crisis coordination, the content, scope and logistics of humanitarian aid, the adaptation of health protection perspective, which is the main field of public health, to humanitarian crises, shelter, nutrition and water use, which are basic humanitarian needs in humanitarian crises, The scope of the course includes mental health and psychosocial care, sexual and reproductive health and emergency health services, international health legislation, organizations and global health safety within the scope of humanitarian aid activities for individuals in crises.

İYA 506 - İnsan Hareketlilikleri ve İnsani Yardım - 10 ECTS

The aim of the course is to gain the ability to analyse different field experiences in the field of sociology of human mobility with the concepts and theories of migration sociology. Basic concepts, debates, historical and current facts in human mobility, interaction between humanitarian aid and human mobility constitutes the scope of the course.

İYA 510 - Sosyoekonomik Haklar ve Kalkınma - 10 ECTS

The aim of the course is based on organic relationships between development, human rights, democracy, individual freedoms and the rule of law; to enable students to develop a new perspective on the dilemmas of underdevelopment. In addition, economic development is not only a narrow concept such as industrialisation, technological development or increase in national income; It is aimed to make it understood that it is a process of expanding human rights and freedoms. The scope of the course includes development economics, its history and fundamental theories; it creates human rights in development economics in a historical perspective.

The aim of the course is to provide students with the theoretical background in humanitarian ethics. It is aimed to introduce different aspects of ethics in the field of humanitarian aid by gaining an interdisciplinary perspective in the field of humanitarian aid. In addition, humanitarian aid issues are discussed in the context of technology and politics.

İYA 514 - İnsani Yardım ve İnsan Felsefesi - 10 ECTS

Human philosophy aims to reveal the multidimensionality of human reality by focusing on the importance of human based on approaches to understanding human. In this course, the basic principles of philosophy are discussed in the context of humanitarian aid. Students are expected to position the human views they encounter within the history of philosophy and within the current philosophical debates.

The aim of the course is to understand the differences regarding the characteristics of disadvantaged groups in humanitarian aid. Determining priorities in disadvantaged groups, issues to be considered during assistance, public volunteer relations in disadvantage, social inclusion and communication issues constitute the content of the course.
