On October 1, 2024, the Orientation Program organized by the Software Engineering Department of our faculty took place in the Etlik West Campus, Block A Conference Hall. The program was attended by students enrolled in the department as well as faculty members.
The orientation began with an opening speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yenal Arslan, Vice Chair of the Software Engineering Department. Following that, Burak Uran, a third-year student, shared information about the university’s social facilities and the advantages of campus life. The program continued with a presentation by Rüveyda Akça, who provided details about student clubs and activities, emphasizing their importance for living an active campus life.
Furkan Aydos gave a talk about the Minor and Double Major Programs (DMP) and how they can contribute to students’ career development. Can Kankılıç then took the stage to introduce the Erasmus+ Program, discussing opportunities for studying abroad and the valuable experiences the program offers students.
In the segment dedicated to internship opportunities, Sinem Coşkun talked about the internships students can undertake before entering the professional world and the support offered by the university in this area. Ahmet Yusuf Demir provided information on TÜBİTAK projects, explaining how students can participate in scientific research and the significance of such involvement. Lastly, İlayda Akınet spoke about the Work and Travel program, outlining the opportunities and experiences it offers to students.
