  • 14:06
Students who intend to take summer school courses during the 2025–2026 Academic Year are required to review the updated application procedure carefully.

Under the new update, following the approval of the relevant course instructor, students must obtain adaptation approval from the Curriculum, Exemption and Adaptation Commission and have the Summer School Course Registration Form signed by the relevant commission member.

Students should first contact Res. Asst. Murat Can YILMAZ. Those who are unable to reach him in person may send the required documents to muratcanyilmaz@aybu.edu.tr. If he is unavailable due to annual leave or similar circumstances during the summer period, approval and signature may also be obtained from other members of the Curriculum, Exemption and Adaptation Commission.

After all required approvals and signatures have been completed, the form must be submitted to Department Secretary Hasancan SUER.

AYBU Software Engineering Department Summer School Course Registration Process information poster. The poster explains the required procedure for AYBU Software Engineering students who wish to take a summer school course at another higher education institution during the summer term. The process consists of five steps. 1. Preliminary Approval and Guidance from the Summer School Commission: Students must first contact Res. Asst. Pelin Nur Çöl, a member of the AYBU Software Engineering Department Summer School Commission, via email. The email must include the name and code of the intended summer school course, the name of the university and department offering the course, the detailed course curriculum and syllabus, and the student's current transcript. The contact email provided is pelinnurcol@aybu.edu.tr. Students must wait until they receive the preliminary approval and guidance email from Res. Asst. Pelin Nur Çöl before proceeding to the next steps. 2. Approval of the Course Instructor: Students must obtain academic approval from the AYBU instructor responsible for the same or an equivalent course. The detailed curriculum and syllabus of the intended summer school course must be submitted to the instructor for evaluation. If the course is found to be appropriate, the instructor signs the Summer School Course Registration Form. 3. Approval of the Curriculum, Exemption, and Adaptation Commission: After obtaining the instructor's approval, students must receive adaptation approval from Res. Asst. Murat Can Yılmaz, a member of the AYBU Software Engineering Department Curriculum, Exemption, and Adaptation Commission. The curriculum and detailed syllabus of the intended course must be submitted for evaluation. Students who cannot reach Murat Can Yılmaz in person may send the required documents to muratcanyilmaz@aybu.edu.tr. During the summer period, if commission members are on annual leave or unavailable, approval and signatures may also be obtained from other members of the Adaptation Commission. If the course is approved, the commission member signs the Summer School Course Registration Form. 4. Department Chair Approval: After all academic approvals have been completed, students must obtain approval from the Chair of the AYBU Software Engineering Department or one of the Vice Chairs. If approved, the relevant section of the Summer School Course Registration Form is signed. 5. Submission of the Course Registration Form: After collecting all four required signatures, students must submit the completed Summer School Course Registration Form to Hasancan Süer, Secretary of the AYBU Software Engineering Department. The Department Secretariat forwards the form to the Dean's Office for completion of the required administrative procedures and final approval. An important notice at the bottom of the poster reminds students to follow the specified order of the application process, submit all requested information and documents completely, and refrain from submitting the form before obtaining all required approvals.
